Professor Georgette Nicolaides, an engaged and enthusiastic teacher, has been teaching statistics to undergraduate and graduate students since 2002, both face-to-face and online. She received a Meredith Teaching Award in 2011 and previously taught at SUNY Empire State College and the University of Texas at Arlington. Her industry experience includes management positions ranging from small not-for-profits to a Fortune 100 company.

Her areas of interest include business analytics, data visualization, curriculum and development in statistics education, and teaching technology tools. She is an officer of the Syracuse chapter of the American Statistical Association, and is a member of the national ASA committees on business statistics, statistics education, and "Statisticians in Cyberspace." She is on the planning committee of the electronic Conference on Teaching Statistics, and has presented locally and nationally on research-based teaching methods.
