Lenweaver featured in October/November issue of Oswego County Business magazine

In a lengthy interview published in the October/November 2012 issue of Oswego County Business magazine, Joanne Lenweaver, director of the WISE Women's Business Center, discusses business and entrepreneurship from the female perspective (the publishers of Oswego County Business magazine make online content available to paid subscribers only).

Topics covered in the article, titled "I am Woman, Watch Me Succeed," are the growth of women-owned businesses in once male-dominated industries, the effect of the economy on the growth of women entrepreneurs, resources available to women who want to go into business for themselves, and the different approaches men and women take to starting a business.

The WISE Women's Business Center, an outreach program of the Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University, features year-round training programs targeting women entrepreneurs at various stages of entrepreneurial development. The Center recently relocated to The Tech Garden, located at 235 Harrison Street in downtown Syracuse. The Center is open weekdays from 8:30-5:30 p.m., and by appointment on Wednesday evenings and Saturdays. For more information, call (315) 443-8693.
