A Whitman education extends well outside the walls of a classroom. With countless study abroad and Experiential Learning opportunities, industry-leading expert engagement through on-campus speakers, and continuous peer collaboration, our students understand the complexity of business issues and feel confident and comfortable in their decision-making ability.
Similar to how business professionals have to find the right balance between their work and personal lives, you balance your academic workload with a wide variety of co-curricular activities that further your professional and leadership development as well as provide social opportunities to establish life-long friendships and tap into Whitman’s extensive alumni and professional network.
Orientation allows you to start your Whitman experience on the right foot and begins the process of transforming students into business leaders.
On campus, through a rigorous experiential curriculum and collaboration with Whitman’s Career Center, you’re provided interactive and participatory leadership development seminars and interaction with a variety of guest speakers.
Our culture is characterized by a strong sense of community in which every student plays a critical role in shaping experiences, cultivating networks, and building a path for success.
The Whitman Graduate Student Organization (WGSO), in collaboration with the Graduate Programs Office, makes tremendous efforts to provide students the opportunity to engage socially with each other and Whitman faculty and staff. We are also home to many student clubs and organizations providing opportunity for collaboration and industry-exposure.
Whether through a residency or special summer program, there are numerous opportunities to study abroad.
