New Student

Welcome to the Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University!

We are so glad that you decided to join Syracuse University and are now a part of the Whitman family.

Part of your transition to college life and the Whitman community includes selecting courses for your first semester as well as some assignments related to the IMPRESS Program. You will receive information from Assistant Dean Lindsay Quilty to your Syracuse email address 1-2 times per month, May through September, with more information about these items. All updates will also be available on this webpage.

Registration information:
All incoming students received a survey in May related to fall course registration. The advising team used this information to begin the course registration process. In June, the advisor led a Zoom webinar to discuss the first-year registration process and advising in Whitman. If you were unable to attend, you can access a recording of the session here. Below is a document answering many of the frequently asked questions during the session.

Students will be expected to complete their course schedule between August 1st-5th. All incoming students should have received detailed information via email on July 26th from their advisor. The advising team hosted a number of Zoom webinars to help with the course registration process. If you were unable to attend or would like to reference the information from the session, please watch the recording from the August 1st session linked here.
