Steven Charney is chairman of Peckar & Abramson, a law firm with 11 U.S. offices and the nation’s largest construction practice. In addition to leading the firm, Charney is one of the country’s foremost construction lawyers, representing leading builders and industry associations both domestically and internationally.

Charney blends academic and hands-on experience in the construction industry with decades of experience litigating for and counseling contractors and developers. Common subjects of the firm’s practice include high-rise developments; international pipelines, industrial and power generation facilities; stadiums and arenas; infrastructure, airports, hospitals and other public projects.

Repeatedly recognized as a top construction attorney in publications such as Chambers USA, Who’s Who of International Construction Lawyers, Super Lawyers and Best Lawyers, and a Fellow in the American College of Construction Lawyers, Charney is widely sought as a speaker and authority on emerging issues facing construction and development.

As an evening student, while working fulltime in the construction industry, he earned his law degree from Seton Hall University and a masters from NJIT.
