Joanne Hill '76 MBA, '78 Ph.D.

Joanne Hill recently retired as head of institutional investment strategy at ProShare and Profunds Advisors. She now is leading Research and Strategy at CBOE VEST. Joanne has worked previously at Goldman Sachs, where she worked for 17 years, Hill served as managing director in the pensions, endowments and foundations group. Prior to that, she held leadership positions at PaineWebber, as managing director of equity derivatives, Kiddler Peabody, as senior vice president of financial futures research and Brown Brothers Harriman, as vice president of quantitative and options research. Hill was also an associate professor at the University of Massachusetts.

Hill serves as co-president of Women in ETFs, and as a board member of the Montgomery County Public Schools Pensions. She earned a bachelor’s from American University, a master’s from George Washington University and an MBA and Ph.D. from Syracuse University. Hill received the Whitman School’s Jonathan J. Holtz Alumnus of the Year Award in 2009.
