P.J. Wilmot is president of Wilmorite Construction, a division of Wilmorite Property Management LLC which was founded in Rochester, New York by his grandfather, James Wilmot, and his great-uncle, William Wilmot, in 1950. Wilmorite Property Management LLC is a commercial real estate development and management company that has built shopping centers, academic facilities, dormitories, apartment-style student housing, hotels, casinos and resorts.

As president of Wilmorite Construction and Development, Wilmot not only oversees all phases of the construction process, but also facilitates the design, appropriate approvals (town, county, IDA and environmental), financing, construction and management services. To ensure the client’s expectations are exceeded, Wilmot works directly with the client, from the pre-construction phase through the completion of the project.

As partner in the gaming division, Wilmot has worked on the development of gaming initiatives in New York, California and Oklahoma. In April 2018, Wilmorite broke ground on the Buena Vue Hotel and Casino development in Northern California. As developer for the Buena Vista Rancheria of Me-Wok Indians, Wilmorite guided the tribe through approvals, design development, and financing. Wilmorite also served as construction manager for the project. Wilmorite won the gaming license recommendation for the $455 million del Lago Resort and Casino in Seneca County which opened their casino floor in February of 2017 and their hotel in July of 2017.

As managing partner, Wilmot oversaw the completion of projects on six different college campuses in five years totaling just under $200 million. Two of which include Park Point at RIT and Park Point Syracuse for student housing opened 100% pre-leased with a waiting list.

He serves on the board of directors for Rochester Malls, LLC, and sits on the board at the James P. Wilmot Cancer Institute at the University of Rochester Medical Center and is the assistant treasurer of the James P. Wilmot Foundation. In addition, he is a member of the New York State Troopers Signal 30 Board.
