Justin Saia is the Vice President of Corporate Communications for Symantec, the global leader in cyber security, based in the San Francisco Bay Area. He has spent over a decade as a trusted advisor, strategist, and spokesperson for a wide array of multinational corporations, advocacy groups, campaigns, and elected officials, guiding them through crises, navigating market disruptions, articulating their brand, and preserving their permission to operate. Previous experience includes service as Chief Operating Officer at Matrix and Senior Director at FTI Consulting in New York, where he provided counsel to clients around critical issues impacting their enterprise value and successfully guided the defense of the largest hostile takeover bid in history, as a spokesperson for Nissan North America, where he led efforts to blunt negative news coverage and mitigate brand damage resulting from an aggressive international corporate campaign, and as a spokesperson for BP America’s international response to the Deepwater Horizon oil spill, where he formulated proactive outreach and engagement strategies to manage reputational issues and restore corporate credibility with key stakeholder constituencies. Mr. Saia also served as legislative assistant for Congressman Parker Griffith, as a speechwriter for Alabama Lieutenant Governor Jim Folsom, Jr., and as a campaign manager, political/field director, and spokesperson for a number of hotly contested political elections at the state and federal levels.
