Holly Ott is professor of operations management at the Bavarian University of Applied Sciences and Management (www.hdbw-hochschule.de) and is an adjunct professor at Syracuse University, where she is course lead for the MBA program’s Operations and Supply Chain management course. She is also a senior lecturer at Technische Universität München (TUM) and an adjunct professor at Singapore Management University. She holds a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the University of Virginia and has worked for twelve years in semiconductor production and supply chain in the USA, Europe and Asia for Siemens, Motorola, IBM and Infineon. Her work has been in the areas of device simulation and reliability, quality and supply chain management. She received the 2015 Teaching Innovation award for the development and launch of TUM’s 4th Massive Open Online Course (MOOC), Quality Engineering and Management, which she has developed into a 3-course Professional Certificate Series, launching in 2017. Her research interests are in the areas of incentive alignment in complex supply chains, sustainability in supply chain management, and leadership development in global, cross-matrix organizations.
