Tracy Halpin Memorial Fund

The goal of the memorial fund is to establish an annual scholarship that will be awarded to outstanding accounting students while we cope with the loss of a good friend and extend our efforts to carry on Tracy’s legacy.  On behalf of Beta Alpha Psi and the Alumni Council, the Beta Alpha Psi Tracy Halpin Memorial Fund was established to create future benefits in Tracy’s name.  We ask everyone in the Syracuse University family to lend a helping hand not only in memory of our friend, but to create future opportunities for education.

Memories from teachers and friends:

"Tracy was an outstanding student and a wonderful person. She had so much potential and would have been a great addition to PwC, in the same way she was a remarkable addition to the Whitman School."
Professor Randy Elder

Director of the Lubin School of Accounting

"Her last contribution to us was the example she set. Tracy left the final, perfect example of what our students should always shoot for."
Professor Bill Walsh

Lubin School of Accounting

"Tracy cared so much about the accounting program and the Whitman School and had a great relationship with many professors and students. She had a special way of bringing high professionalism but also a sense of fun into most everything she did."
Terese Sawicki

Beta Alpha Psi officer. '06 BS

"She understood that to be a good leader, she needed to be very visible. As president of Beta Alpha Psi, she attended virtually all of our events. Tracy organized and ran our weekly meetings, tutored each week at Danforth Middle School, hung out with the students at the Danforth ice cream socials, participated in the benefit walk for the Diabetes Association, played in the golf tournament, and spoke at the banquets."
