Senior Resource Managers Course

A group of senior resource managers course students outside.

Purpose:
The Senior Resource Managers Course (SRMC) discusses current issues in the management of resource management; to better understand the changing resource management environment of the Army and DoD; to provide a venue for senior resource managers to discuss issues and share solutions; and to develop solutions to resource management issues.

Method of Instruction:
The course is comprised of approximately 25-30 students per class and is divided into six general learning objectives with learning accomplished by lectures, guest speakers, and a group project. Guest speakers address the real-time application of skills and challenges facing the Army and DoD and group projects are presented to a senior resource manager.  Upon completion of the course, 36 CPEs are awarded – including two (2) hours of ethics training.

Target Audience:
Civilian:
GS-14 to 15         

Military: 
Officer (O-5 to O-6)
Enlisted (E-8 to E-9)

*Exceptions to target audience allowed on a case-by-case basis.

Nomination Process:
Submit nominations through command channels to the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army (Financial Management & Comptroller)
Include:
• Letter of Endorsement
• SF 182
• Civilians - CP 11 Resume Form
• Military – Officer Record Brief / Enlisted Record Brief

Funding:
DA centrally funds tuition, per diem and travel costs for CP 11 careerists and BA 36 Officers and NCOs.

Course Length:
Four and one-half days.

SRMC 21-I: March 15 - 19, 2021
SRMC 21-II: Aug. 23 - 27, 2021 (DC)
