Case and Business Plan Competitions

You’ll join forces with other students to demonstrate strategic thinking, use critical analysis skills, and deliver dynamic presentations in competitions across the country and internationally.

Exemplifying our commitment to providing students with real-life, hands-on experiences, we hold an annual Case Competition that is open to all MBA/MS graduate students and graduate students from other invited schools.

Additionally, Whitman is home to the renowned Panasci Business Plan Competition, which annually awards $40,000 in prize money. The Panasci Competition showcases individual and group student business plans and innovative ideas. The competition spans four months, during which students have the opportunity to work with Whitman faculty in the Business Plan Laboratory each week. In early April, semi-finalists are selected to present their business plans to a distinguished panel of judges.

Whitman Case Competition
The Whitman Graduate Student Organization (WGSO) hosts an annual case competition each Spring. Each team may have up to four team members. Teams must include students from the MBA, MS in Finance, and/or MS in Accounting programs. Six teams will be selected as finalists.

Our students compete across the country.  Some of our recent students competed in:

  • The KeyBank/Fisher College of Business MBA Minority Case Competition
  • Howard University’s MBA Exclusive
  • NAAMBA Global Case Competition
