Why Arts & Sciences | Maxwell?
Home to more than one-third of all Syracuse University students, the College of Arts & Sciences houses nearly two dozen departments and three dozen interdisciplinary programs in the sciences, mathematics, humanities and social sciences (via the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs). The oldest and largest academic unit on campus, the College is nationally known for its interdisciplinary teaching, research, service, and enterprise. The members of the faculty are passionate educators that combine their love of teaching with a passion for research and their quest to reveal the unknown.

About the Whitman and Arts & Sciences | Maxwell Dual 
The Whitman and Arts & Sciences | Maxwell dual program will equip you with the essential skills necessary to become an effective business leader, and the ability to translate those skills to other growing fields. For example, science-minded students will combine business and STEM to work in pharmaceuticals, medical device development, alternative fuels and biotechnology. Students interested in the global economy and cultural diversity will combine business and international relations to prepare for international business endeavors. The interdisciplinary education provided by our dual program will give you an edge in these and other competitive job markets. 

You must apply directly to the dual program as an incoming first-year student when applying to Syracuse University. You will select one major from the Whitman School and one of seven specified science majors from the College of Arts & Sciences | Maxwell.
