Information for Doctoral Students

The Earl V. Snyder Innovation Management Center at The Whitman School of Management, Syracuse University is cosponsoring the sixth PDMA Doctoral Consortium in Syracuse, New York. The Consortium will be held as an in-person event from July 31–August 2, 2024.

The aim of the Consortium is to enhance the development of doctoral students conducting dissertation research in the broad domain of innovation which includes areas such as new products and services, digital marketing, new approaches to customer engagement and so forth. Students accepted to the consortium will be honored as Doctoral Student Fellows and have a unique opportunity to network and share ideas with noted scholars from around the world in a collaborative setting. The two-and-a-half-day event will offer a variety of engaging and interesting activities, including presentations by leading faculty, feedback from faculty on student presentations, one-on-one mentoring, roundtable research discussions, and industry tours. A dinner cruise on beautiful Skaneateles Lake will also be an exciting highlight.

There is no registration fee for the selected doctoral fellows.

All meals, housing, social activities, and local transportation will be provided free of charge. Students only have to cover their transportation costs to and from Syracuse, NY.

Eligibility: 

To be eligible for participation as a Doctoral Student Fellow, you should be at a stage in a doctoral studies program when you will benefit from such a learning experience.

Procedure: 

Applicants must submit the following materials via the form below.

  • A two-page single-spaced summary of your dissertation. This summary should identify your topic, research question, theory, method, findings and expected contributions.
  • An up-to-date vita.
  • A letter of recommendation from your dissertation advisor.
